Dr. Thomas is a fellowship trained vitreo-retinal surgeon. He specializes in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and retinal detachment. He is also Board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Originally from California, Dr. Thomas is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his residency in ophthalmology at Loma Linda University in Southern California. He earned his fellowship certification in vitreo-retinal disease at the University of Texas in Houston where he was voted Most Outstanding Fellow.

Dr. Thomas and his wife, Debbie, have 5 children and enjoy a multitude of family activities including camping, sports, and entertaining.
